Underwater Fun... Laura Holtzclaw submitted this picture in our I Love Lake Wedowee facebook group a few weeks ago and we flipped over it! Her nephew Drew was down visiting the lake and they had some fun with underwater pictures. Needless to say we HAD to do our part to give Drew his 15 minutes of fame! Hope you enjoy! You never know what may strike our fancy for a cover photo. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

I am proud to live on Lake Wedowee. Not everyone has it as great as we do. Don’t get me wrong, we all have our problems and troubles, but it is so important to count your blessings in this crazy decade that some of you know as 2020.
Some of the biggest problems living at the lake are boaters going too fast or playing music too loud or rudeness on social media. Well I am taking a stand on negativity and have been for a while now.
Lake Wedowee Life created a private group on Facebook called I Love Lake Wedowee in April and it continues to grow in membership every day. We have learned a few things a long the way and have had to remove a few people that didn’t get the point of the group. But, for the most part there are some amazingly diverse people that share a common belief…They love Lake Wedowee. It is not a place for politics, negativity or rudeness.
It is a place to share pictures and information. Show gratitude for their fellow neighbors and maybe sell a t-shirt or hat from time to time. We even started Marketing Monday to let ALL businesses have the opportunity to get their message out in 2020.
I Love Lake Wedowee does not tolerate pot stirrers or social media trolls. We are a safe place where we hope the most offensive thing is being jealous at missing out on an awesome sunset.
We appreciate our neighbors, and most importantly, we are kind. If it were up to us kindness and compassion would spread as quickly as the dreadful virus the world is battling… What a truly wonderful world that would be…
