It is not unusual to see numerous ski boats, personal watercrafts, and fishing boats on Lake Wedowee and maybe the occasional canoe. There are eight ladies that regularly grab their paddles and kayak around Lake Wedowee. " We got our name because you can hear us before you see us. " Laura Campbell said. The " Yakety (Ka)Yakers" come from all parts of the lake and can be heard and seen from all areas as well.
