Farmers to Families Food Box Pickup
Wedowee insider story from April...
Y’all we are so excited that the USDA Farmers to Families Food program is continuing for a third and now a fourth month (May) in Randolph County. The program is coordinated locally through the Randolph County Economic Development Authority and its executive director Bryant Whaley. For the four Tuesdays in April, the food boxes will be distributed at French Park in Wedowee and the Woodland Senior Center. The program is open to anyone and there are no requirements to participate. They do limit food boxes to two per family in order to ensure the most families are reached. Food pick up begins at 8 am each Tuesday and if you are wanting to volunteer your time please contact Whaley at 334.863.7243. The dates are April 6, 13, 20 and 27.
